[ you. are. worthy. ]

In the midst of dancing, a thought interrupted my mind.

You know, so often I hear prayers and people talk about how unworthy they are. About how they're not worthy for Him and they don't know why He uses them, and on and on.

Well, I mean, I've definitely been thinking that more than once. Sometimes I have no idea why He puts up with me, honestly.

But for a while now, this hasn't felt right to say. It hit me when a guest speaker came to the school a couple days ago and she was saying how unworthy she was to be a part of something.

And I sat there and instantly disagreed.

   But why did I disagree?

I mean, God is God. He's the Almighty God,  the perfect God. He is above all worthy, holy, righteous.

And we are merely humans. A fallen creation. Unworthy of anything so pure. Unworthy of anything great.

   Right?

   Wrong.

We are worthy. We are righteous. We are holy.

We have been set apart as co-heirs, as inheritors of the Kingdom. So who's to say we're unworthy?

If we were so unworthy, why would He bother to put His Spirit within us to guide us and teach us?

.. if we were so unworthy, why would He have sacrificed His Son, His only Son, for us?

   We have been made worthy.

His sacrifice and His death alone made us worthy.

We have been set apart for greatness. To achieve things that other people cannot achieve because of Who we have on our side.

It's a lie from the enemy to sit here and say we are unworthy. It will limit our self-image, our self-worth, and our authority. It will hold us back from the things we are set out to do, the ground we are to take over. We are not to take this in a prideful way, but hold it above all in humility.

   You.

   Are.

   Worthy.
